 Currency

The official currency in the UK is the Pound Sterling (GBP). Usual credit cards (Mastercard, American Express, VISA) are accepted in hotels, department stores and restaurants. Currently (Dec 2008) the exchange rate is approx. 1 GBP = 1.06 EUR, 1 GBP = 1.47 USD.

 Weather

October in Wales is generally mild although it can be quite rainy. The provisional mean temperature value for the month is 10.4 °C. The provisional total rainfall is 60.7mm. Participants are advised to check the actual weather conditions on http://uk.weather.com.

 Electricity

Power supply is 230 V AC, 50 Hz. It is recommended to have a suitable plug-in for British standard.

 Liability

The Organizing Committee does not accept liability for personal medical expenses, travel expenses, losses of whatever nature incurred by participants and/or accompanying persons. Participants should therefore make their own insurance arrangements.
